In 2003 Classic Amplification launched our Vibe-Baby CV-2TM pedal which is a self contained pedal with no need for a separate box + pedal like the original Uni-Vibe system.
The heart-n-soul of our Vibe-Baby CV-2TM is the same all transistor analog circuitry as our Classic Vibe CV-2TM pedal, both faithfully following the original audio path circuitry of original vintage Honey and Shin-Ei manufactured Uni-Vibe.
For musicians who wish to control their vibe's Speed from an expression pedal, just as one would on an original vintage Uni-Vibe, but with a minimal footprint on the pedalboard we offer our Vibe-Baby CV-2TM for those who prefer that kind of operation, and want the very best sounding vibe under their foot.
The true vintage circuit with no additional circuitry added and absolutely no digital anything inside. Simply the best raw vintage-correct vibe sound and tone using the correct all analog 13 transistor audio path, Lamp-Photocell driven, and functions just as a vintage unit does when the heel-down "Cancel" switch is engaged (kills the internal lamp) so your instrument's signal still runs though the vibe's preamp as it did in a genuine vintage Uni-Vibe which can be essential to getting "that" vintage tone.
The Speed is controlled by the (foot) treadle, the Intensity control is located on the side, the Volume control is located under the treadle where it can't get "bumped" once you have it set to your exact preference, the Chorus/Vibrato switch is located on the top-front of the pedal, and a true bypass switch is located on the side so you dont have to unplug the pedal when it's not needed. With the exception of the additional true bypass switch, the Vibe-Baby CV-2TM circuit is built and sounds just like an original Uni-Vibe.
The Vibe-Baby CV-2TM is an 18VDC pedal.

Bulb/LDRs
The Bulb/LDR combination we use has been selected to sound right, we're not interested in the "looks" of LDRs, or if they they look like or "resemble" vintage photocells, it's all about the sound!.
Lamp & PhotocellsI have personally tested and auditioned several dozens of LDR types from several manufacturers over the years critically comparing them (with mine and other's ears) to several examples of (real) vintage Uni-Vibe photocells and have settled on two types we mainly use for our Vibe-Baby CV-2TM and Classic VibeTM pedals because they sound right. By A-B testing we found there is absolutely no difference in sound between hermetically sealed vs normal LDR's despite what some vibe builders would like you to believe.

Testing
How do we know our Vibe-Baby CV-2TM pedals sound right? ...by listening, and tuning, each one against known good samples, there is just no substitute for doing actual listening tests to ensure sound quality.
(the Vibe-Baby shown above is a pre-2013 black shell version)
Recently Dunlop Mfg has come out with a new ECB-004 power pack that supplys 18V 500mA (0.5A) and works with our vibe pedals, the power pack is sold under the their old part number (ECB-004) so you will need to be aware of that when ordering a ECB-004 power pack.
(The old ECB-004 was a 250mA unit, and does not work with our vibes)
The new power packs show
18V 0.5A
on the data label:
I have tested the new ECB-004-US power pack myself, and one of my very good customers has been giving it some time-testing and it is working very well so far and has been for some time now (thank you BruceT).

may work for you can be found here:
